INTINERARY
We drive out of Saigon to Can Giuoc, where fit your bike and cycle to Ben Luc. You’ll enjoy the first impression of Mekong Delta in the vegetable region and greenery landscape. Lunch en route at the local restaurant.
Continue journey by crossing Vam Co River for a sightseeing Nguyen Trung Truc hero monument. Stunning over the ricefields onto gravel road and through the beautiful dragon fruit hamlets for more superb biking day before checking at local homestay in Ben Tre.
2nd day: Cycling from My Tho to Mo Cay and to Tra Vinh (B/L/D).
Owner serves you their traditional breakfast, we then leave homestay on bike toward to the suspension bridge of Rach Mieu and head to coconut land for couple stops exploring coconut product workshop.
In the afternoon, we continue into the most beautiful paths in Mekong Delta with flowers on sidewalk, shad of coconut palm, busy village’s market. This marvelous day you can make 70km from homestay to hotel in Tra Vinh.
3rd day: Cycling from Tra Vinh to Tieu Can, Tra On and to Can Tho (B/L/D).
Start riding from hotel in this quiet town, we warm-up 4km to a famous attraction Ao Ba Om to be known about its story and visit an oldest Ang Khmer Pagoda, and turn on concrete paths in the middle of the massive rice paddies where the best for learning how about vietnamese rice. Take your siesta at our lunch choice and jump on several ferries to cycle in Pomelo land, you may interest in challenge over Can Tho bridge to end your bike ride at hotel in Can Tho city.
4th day: Cycling from Can Tho to Thoi Lai, Co Do and to Rach Gia (B/L/D).
Follow your breakfast, we embark on the morning boat trip to the bustling Cai Rang floating market, where local people trad on the river. We quickly head up a quiet canal along the windy waterways. Then, we pedal about 30km to see local daily life with Milky Apple area, we also might see some traders on the canals while biking. Lunch in a poor town Co Do and more cruising on bike to Tan Hiep. Over there, you discuss with Vietnam By Bike team about the last 35km of a beautiful stage to Rach Gia with enjoying sunset en route and visit handicraft village of making bamboo basket. Overnight in Rach Gia.
5th day: Cycling from Rach Gia to Ha Tien (B/L/D).
Breakfast in hotel, we plan you pedal along the southern coast about 30 munits away from Rach Gia city where has many limestone mountains with some strange sharps. Arrive to Hon Chong, a buddhist pilgrimage spot with sacred pagoda. Will you have a seafood lunch ?
Afternoon, we stick the coastline to cycle to Ha Tien and at To Chau bridge you can save your nice pictures of panorama amongst mountain, river, sunset, remote town at Cambodia border. Get your accommodation and take a promenade along the Ha Tien riverside.
6th day: Cycling from Ha Tien to Ba Chuc and to Chau Doc (B/L/D).
Depart at late morning cause you can experience the fish market nearby your hotel and enjoy a local coffee to see the corner of vietnamese life before breakfast. At 9am, we cycle over any hills along the mountainside and the oldest
border canal Vinh Te (digged in early 19th century). There, we look for Cambodia culture at their pagoda’s hamlets. We’ll have an easy lunch with locals (or picnic) before cycling deeply in the biggest rice field in Mekong Delta. Take a rest at the top of Sam Mountain for sunset before we drive to Chau Doc for a night stay.
7th day: Cycling from Chau Doc to Long Xuyen and to Sa Dec (B/L/D).
We run the motorized boat trip in this morning, it drop us off and research the fishfarm building technologies, grow fishes and difficulties of floating village on Mekong River. More cruising to Cham Muslim Village where introduced about making their traditional handicraft. We’ll enjoy the biking paths and have reststop at incense house, brick-kiln, carpentry hamlet. Lunch and held your afternoon bike ride, you are also guided into Mango compound (if good condition of time). Stay in Sa Dec Town of Maguerite Duras.
8th day: Cycling from Sa Dec to Vinh Long, Cai Be and back to Saigon (B/L/D).
Toward to L’amant story, Huynh Thuy Le ancient house will be visited in the morning and through Sa Dec Market on foot. We transfer to An Binh island for a biking part in Rambutan and Longan routes about 20km with lunch on Mekong Riverside.
After that, we take our private boat to mainland of Cai Be for a lesson of making pop-rice and rice-papper. We will be stunning on the single trails under the jackfruit & banana shad, lunch at Mekong Restop and head to Saigon around 4pm for a farewell dinner with Vietnam By Bike team to end our service.
