CYCLING SAIGON TO CON DAO 4 DAYS

Vietnam By Bike's team will be picked you up at hotels, transfer you by van/bus out of Ho Chi Minh City to the lively rural village, urban Dist Ben Tre where the first day ride begins. Great cycle paths through beautiful coconut plantations and local houses along country back roads enable you to enjoy scenery, ferry crossings, and visit local workshops; coconut handicrafts, coconut jelly before stopping for lunch at a local café in Mo Cay. Then your bike guide will lead you the way cycling through water palms, shady palm tree-covered lanes through farms to a small rural market. A beautiful ride on small windy paths brings us to the public ferry station. We will get on our van/bus to a hotel in Tra Vinh.

In the morning, we cycle on footpaths through rice paddy fields and villages, the homeland of Khmer in Mekong Delta where most are devout followers of Theravada Buddhism. You have an opportunity to stop at the home of Khmer, colorful Khmer temples and schools before your lunch is served locally in the small town of Cau Ke. On your cycle today, you also have a chance to have a photo taken with orange-clad monks walking along country roads. After lunch, to avoid getting hot, we take a nap on our van/bus driving us to Tra On Dist, From here, we get back to the bikes and cycle to station for a ferry across the river, then we continue cycling across 02 islands, bike through peaceful idyllic countryside village, lush green grapefruit gardens all the way to Binh Minh.

The famous Cai Rang floating market is in action from 6:30 to 8:30 am every day. After an early breakfast at the hotel, a boat ride takes us to the floating market. Then we leave the boat behind for a morning ride to Phung Hiep. An easy ride allows you to enjoy your own space, ride alongside some rivers, and pass authentic villages. By cycling, you can see locals using waterways as a means of transport in the area. Bike routes in the afternoon are so beautiful; smooth concrete paths, windy country back roads through rice paddies, lakes, and small hamlets offer you pleasure time to enjoy by your own. We also cycle across a network of irrigation canals before we know about Bat pagoda.

There are 2 daily boat rides from Soc Trang to Con Dao Island. One is in the morning from Soc Trang to Con Dao Island. The other departs in the afternoon at 1:00 pm but it hasn’t operated yet! The boat ride takes about 2 hours to the Island. An early breakfast at the hotel, then you will pick for an hour drive on the road through beautiful countryside to Tran De Dock. Boarding at 7:30 am.
