Day 1: Saigon – BenTre – TraVinh.
Driving you to Tan An for beginning your cycling day to My Tho along the beautiful backroads through rice paddies, dragon fruit and vegetable plantations. Stopping for lunch in My Tho city.
In the afternoon, you can ride as long as under the canopy’s the rural village in Tan Thach and onto Mo Cay. Your guide will choose shady pathways to cycle through jungle like plantations on smaller foot paths of banana’s coconuts. You will have break stop every couple of hours. Then we take ferry to further side of Co Chien River to Tra Vinh.
Day 2: Tra Vinh – Soc Trang – Bac Lieu.
Experience the oldest Khmer pagoda before cycling into the hidden villages of khmer people with sharing the foot paths in between the huge rice paddies and the vibrant green scenery.
Best feeling & highlight in this morning are be rode on local trails through farmlands and little charming villages, Khmer temples, primary schools in rural villages. After we have a crossing ferry Dung Islet to Da Ngai town, we pedal on concrete path and crossing natural creeks with many photo stops. We pay a visit to pagoda before we have a transfer to Bac Lieu city in late afternoon.
Day 3: Bac Lieu – Vi Thanh – Rach Gia.
Vi Thanh is knows as a new town after it was separated from Hau Giang province. It is almost none-touristy city. The highlight of today’ cycling is to explore a network of natural creeks through removed villages and rice paddy fields, small local floating markets on your way cycling to Vi Thanh.
After we have lunch in Vi Thanh city, to avoid traffic in this city, we ride 30 minutes on A/C van to outskirt area to start today’ afternoon ride. We cycle on small asphalt countryside roads, through huge rice fields, villages along river, share space with locals on small ferries before we finish today’ ride at Ben Nhut. Then we get on van/bus for a transfer to Rach Gia.
Day 4: Rach Gia – Tri Ton – Tra Su – Chau Doc.
Today’s cycling will be begined after A/C van taking you Urban Dist where you ready for off-road cycling. We ride on path, single track across villages and wild grass fields, cajeput forest along river as you racing with local cargo boats. Then we follow a single track along eucalyptus field to mountain To which is near Tri Ton. Passing some pagodas through palm trees closed to mountain. Stop for lunch at Tri Ton town. Tri Ton Dist belonged to An Giang province which owned many beautiful mountains and hilly single track and country back roads in the Mekong Delta. This is a chance you can challenge cycling skills and enjoy beautiful road; see farmers harvesting chili, tapioca, and corns. Then we carry on our cycling adventure on back road to Tra Su forest. This is the best time you explore this forest included; motor boat ride, sampan boat rowing, see many kids of birds, bats when they are going back home to sleep. Have a short transfer to hotel after visiting Tra Su forest.
Day 5: Chau Doc – Cho Moi – Cao Lanh.
Enjoy an hour motorized boat to catfish farms and floating village before you discover the lowland of Dong Thap province. To mingle with children on bike on rural road through vilages of house on stilts. Ride on dirt track to Cho Moi, pedal past Hoa Hao Buddhism holy temple. afternoon cycle ride to the Monastery, which was built 120 years ago by the French. The first monastery building site was established in 1874 in Indochina. We will continue explore many islets and end up at Cao Lanh.
Day 6: Cao Lanh – Sadec – Can Tho.
Cao Lanh is the big city and also a new town after Vietnam’s war. The drowsy former capital of Dong Thap province, Sa Dec is a comparatively peaceful city of tree-lined streets and fading colonial villas. The ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le is where we have lunch after your guide lead you cycling on village routes through Sadec flower plantation. In this afternoon, your guide will plan a shady unique dirt track so you can enjoy scenery to Can Tho City.
Day 7: Can Tho – Vinh Long – HCM.
The highlight of your last day is to have a boat trip to CaiRang Floating Market. Then you will have a half day cycling to Vinh Long on real back road before we return to HCM by comfortable A/C van. End Of This Best Biking Mekong Experience 7 days.
